Look at it from my perspective

As we all know life is full of different views and complete different ways of living, and we are all entitled to our own opinions. As I travel through life I have realized one important thing that Steven Tyler so eloquently put in his song Amazing, Life’s a journey not a destination. Kind of like many road trips I have taken over the years so many were long awaited endings to get to that certain destination, but once I got to where I was going a looked back and said hey that was an interesting trip just to get here. So many movies over the years looked at things from different points of view and made you step back and say what would I do in that situation. One of the most famous lines in modern film looked at 1 point of view in 2 very obscure ways.
Obi-Wan: Your father was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. He ceased to be the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and became the Sith Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. So, what I told you was true from a certain point of view.

Luke: A certain point of view?
Obi-Wan: Luke, you’re going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.
A line that made the main character look back and re-evaluate his entire existence. Should it have changed who he was? NO, but did the fact that was certain change Luke’s view once he was enlightened? Most definitely.
Another great series that tested the boundaries of right and wrong that I love is Breaking Bad. This show just tested 1 view in 2 different perspectives time after time, and it really made you think what would you do and where is the line between good and bad, right and wrong.

Then there is the age old story of Robin Hood. Steal from the rich and give to the poor. One view might say the rich person has lots of money and can afford to help out the less fortunate and another view might say the rich person has worked harder for his money and sacrificed gluttony to better himself, so he is entitled to those riches. So is the poor person entitled to some of his riches? Well maybe if the poor person worked just as hard and the rich person took it in taxes and put it in his own kingdom. Guess it depends on the facts.

So from one point of view it may be ones dream to have everything under the moon, but what is the point of having everything if you have nobody to share it with. So just a thought as we enter the 2015 holiday season. This year take a step back and look at the light at a different angle and who knows, you might just change your whole perspective on how you approach it.
